Seminal late 70s synth-punk pioneers PRIMITIVE CALCULATORS return with a red hot slab of 7inch nihilistic noise-synth-punk. Known for their use of a screeching Mosrite Ventures model guitar, primitive synthesizers and drum machines, (a Wasp and Roland SH2, Roland CR-78), The Primitive Calculators recorded a genre defying classic 7inch (“Cant Stop It” c/w “Do That Dance” 1979, and a startling original abrasive live LP, before playing their last gig in March 1980.
In January 2009, at the request of Nick Cave, the band reformed for the inaugural Australian All Tomorrow's Parties music festival. The band subsequently commenced the recording of a new album, called The World Is Fucked', that was released in 2013 on Chapter Music.
