Portland band Mope Grooves' new LP "Vanished" is the followup to their 2017 debut LP "Joy". For this one Stevie mostly recorded with her friend Raf from Woolen Men/L.O.X with appearances from half a dozen scene regulars. Topics of physical vulnerability, street harassment, annihilation, and the life-affirming process of music making populate the record, which doesn't exactly sound like Swell Maps, The Second Raincoats Record Odyshape, or Minutemen, but to some parties involved their influences were evident in the album's development. Blank jacket letter pressed with drawing by Raf Spielman as well as a short play glued to back (labor intensive art edition limited to 150).
